Union College

Since 1795, Union College has been defining—and continually redefining—what it means to provide a liberal arts education. We've been challenging convention, blurring boundaries and shaking up traditional thinking.

Union is a highly selective, private, residential, liberal arts college with engineering that is consistently ranked among the nation's top colleges. Set on 100 acres in downtown Schenectady, N.Y., Union is within easy reach of New York City, Boston, Montreal and outdoor recreation.

Our 2,150 students choose from 58 majors and minors. They engage with faculty and immerse themselves in research, internships and studying abroad. They create community through 130 student clubs and organizations, 26 varsity athletic teams (Div. III with Div. I men’s and women’s ice hockey), our unique Minerva Program and many service opportunities.
