From Adrian College

Adrian College is more than just four years of your life. Here you will find the foundation for your inspiration and the roots of your future. Become a part of our story and, as your chapter unfolds, you’ll understand that our extraordinary retention, graduation and placement rates mean that when students come here, they stay here. When they leave, their journey has just begun.

Adrian offers state-of-the-art facilities, small class sizes and an innovative approach to the academic and personal growth of its nearly 1,700 undergraduates. We’re a traditional four-year, residential college that focuses completely on undergraduate education - with available 4+1 master's degree programs in accountancy, athletic training, criminal justice, education, industrial chemistry and sports management and leadership.

Located in Southeast Michigan, 45 minutes from Ann Arbor and Toledo, we offer over 40 majors and pre-professional programs and 25+ varsity sports. Our eight professional institutes - for Entrepreneurial Studies, Health Studies, Study Abroad, Ethics, Law and Public Policy, Education and Creativity – represent a personalized approach to education.

Founded in 1859 by Asa Mahan, a Methodist pastor & scholar active in the antislavery and women's rights movements, Adrian offers a challenging, caring community to students from diverse backgrounds. A vibrant Campus Ministry has spawned the student-led, anti-human trafficking organization "Not For Sale." Adrian Plus, a loan repayment assistance program, is available to all incoming students and offers assistance based on a student's income following graduation.

Neighborhood

Adrian College's downtown location on South Madison Street puts students within walking distance of local restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues that serve both the college community and the broader Adrian area. The tree-lined streets and historic architecture create a welcoming small-town atmosphere while keeping campus conveniences close at hand. Students can easily access everything from casual dining to retail stores without needing a car, making it simple to balance academics with social activities and off-campus exploration.
