From Alma College

At Alma College, we are so committed to your success that we created the “Alma Commitment” – which includes a four-year graduation guarantee. If you meet program requirements but are not able to graduate in four years (eight terms), the college will pay the tuition costs for your ninth term.

As part of the Alma Commitment, you’ll have an experiential learning opportunity that meets your personal or professional goals - funded by an Alma Venture or other grant. You will have up to $2,500 to put your classroom learning into practice through a remarkable internship, research fellowship, hands-on clinical experience, off-campus study, campus leadership opportunity or another approved learning experience.

Located an hour north of Lansing, Michigan’s state capital, Alma enrolls 1,400 undergraduate students on a 128-acre campus with an adjacent 200-acre ecological tract. We’re at our best working with students who don't have all the answers but love to ask the questions. We offer a personalized education with 41 majors plus the opportunity to design your own program of study. The average class size is only 18 students.

Founded in 1886, Alma has a 4-4-1 academic calendar; after fall and winter terms, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on one course topic for the entire month of May. You’ll have campus opportunities that are important to you (performing arts, athletics, Greek life, etc.) and complete your degree with practical experiences builds your resume and gets you started on your career.

This central setting fosters a strong connection between the college and Alma, allowing students to feel integrated into the community while enjoying the safety and accessibility of a pedestrian-friendly environment.
