SAGE Scholars Educational Foundation Announces Eiding Scholarships for PFT

The SAGE Scholars Educational Foundation Proudly Announces Three Patrick J. Eiding Scholarships for Members of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers (PFT).
Philadelphia, PA - SAGE Scholars Educational Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of a $5,000 and two $1,000 Patrick J. Eiding Scholarships for members of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers with seniors in high school or students currently enrolled in college. These scholarships are designed to support the pursuits of higher education for the families of Philadelphia’s dedicated educators who are committed to enriching the lives of their students and strengthening their
communities.
The Patrick J. Eiding Scholarships are named in honor of Patrick J. Eiding, a long-time labor leader and advocate for public education. Mr. Eiding served as President of the Philadelphia Council of AFL-CIO for over 20 years and is active in many civic, charitable, and government affairs. He was a champion of labor rights and a staunch defender of public education, and this scholarship is a fitting tribute to his legacy.
“We are thrilled to offer these scholarships to members of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers,” said Dr. James Johnston, Founder and President of SAGE Scholars. “We believe that investing in the education of the children of our city’s dedicated educators is one of the best ways to ensure a brighter future for all of our students.”
The Patrick J. Eiding Scholarships are one of several scholarship programs offered by the SAGE Scholars Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting access and affordability of higher education for students and families across the country.
Applications for the Patrick J. Eiding Scholarships are now being accepted, and the deadline for submission is May 15, 2023.
The SAGE Scholars Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2018 to work alongside SAGE Scholars, Inc. as an advocate and promoter of access to high-quality, affordable, private college education.
