Melissa Ortiz

Melissa has ten years of experience working in research and administration in several nonprofits and higher education institutions. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and her M.S. in Education from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. This fall, she will begin a Ph.D. program at NYU Steinhardt’s Sociology of Education program. As the oldest daughter of Ecuadorian immigrants, she is passionate about working with Latinx youth and their families to access higher education. She likes to study ballet, bike ride, and read in her free time.
